I'm a little late to this discussion, simply because I only just saw GREEN LANTERN last weekend at my local 2nd run theater. I really liked it(although not as much as THOR or X-MEN: FIRST CLASS). I have to admit that it's budget, box office performance, and sequel potential didn't enter into my enjoyment of the movie one way or the other...nor did I even think about these factors. Like James Cameron once said, the ticket price for a big budget movie is the same as the ticket price for a low budget film...so what difference should it make to a viewer? As for a sequel, if they make one, I'll go see it...if they don't, life goes on.
