Thought I'd add my two cents, although it'll be closer to a penny since I'm obviously going from memories from six weeks ago.

I liked it a lot but I'm easy to please when it comes to stuff like this. My only complaint was the casting of Hal. Reynolds was better toward the end, but for much of the film it was like watching Peter Tork as Hal Jordan. I like Tork! But not as Jordan. This would only matter to someone like me who grew up with the character in the late 70's and the 80's, but the Jordan I know is much more of a commanding figure, charisma-wise. More confident. Especially for one of the most powerful DC heroes next to Superman. Reynolds was way too goofy for the character IMO. But he did get better toward the end and hopefully he would be better in a sequel. I really hope there's a sequel (but I want ten movies for every superhero) but I'm not expecting a sequel. A shame, because this could have been a great franchise, the most cosmic of DC films.

Would've loved to see the red Lantern woman, is that Arisia? Love triangle.

A question about a sequel, though. Don't you usually introduce a new villian in a sequel? Sinestro was already introduced and he had a lot more screen time than the Phantom Zone criminals did in The Movie. So who would the main villians be in GL 2? I'm assuming it would be Star Sapphire and Sinestro.
If we do ever see a JLA film someday because of Warner's Avengers-envy, it would be a wonderful full circle since the Marvel Age supposedly arose out of JLA-envy. I was really hoping for a review from Samy, after the discussions about this film from years ago.
