Sorry, you guys are reading more depth into my comment than intended. Clearly, LoEG and Lost Girls have more literary merit than, say, Watchmen 2 or a new Marvel Man series is likely to have; but the fact remains that some creator may see a possibility for a story that he or she would really like to tell using Moore's characters. Maybe that creator could even have a particular reason they want to use Alan Moore's characters specifically, aside from them just being cool. If you don't see any irony at all in the fact that Moore has made comments that current comic book creators should be creative enough to make up stories using their own characters instead of using his, well, I don't know what to say. You can just be offended and respond with how great Alan Moore is, I guess.

Anyway, how 'bout that irony of Disney fighting so hard to extend copyright protection for their characters after building so much of their legacy on characters in the public domain?
