I'd read about Goodman not paying S&K what they were owed, but the specifics I hadn't run across until a couple days ago. Yeah, very "Hollywood". (Then again, the more I learn about Stan, HE's "very Hollywood".)

From what I read some years ago, apparently, Goodman's accountant was a silent partner in another publisher. He saw what Goodman was doing, and TOLD S&K about it, hoping they'd ditch Goodman in favor of HIS company. Instead, they signed with DC. Stan, on finding out, decided to tell Goodman, and Goodman, PISSED that the guys he was robbing blind were leaving him (WHO the hell did they think they were?), tried to FIRE them, FIRST.

Seems there's a sick comedy film waiting to be made based on all this...
