I have almost no interest in the Riverdale characters, however there are a few scattered things in the Archie/MLJ back catalog that might be attractive to folks "like us".

First, as mentioned, the late fifties/early sixties superhero books, The Fly, Double Life Of Private Strong, etc., leading into the mid-sixties attempt to revive the line with The Mighty Crusaders and The Black Hood. Not high-quality material, of course (other than the S&K stuff), but interesting historical curiosities. The early stuff was labelled "Archie Adventure Group", but by 1964 they had that Mighty Comics Group with the Marvel ripoff corner box. The original Brand Echh (Stan's insults of the competition were mostly directed at the Mighty Crusaders line, and not the DC line; he saw Archie as merely ripping off what he had popularized, while he and DC were in friendly competition).

Second, co-incident with the Mighty Crusaders, there were a few stories in the Riverdale Universe that cast Archie, Reggie, et al as superheroes -- those stories might make a decent TPB.

Then of course there's the Golden Age superhero line -- correct me if I'm wrong, but it would only take about 5 to 10 Archive-size books to complete this stuff, wouldn't it?

Finally, it would be interesting to see the two post-1960s revival attempts. There was the 1970s Red Circle line, including Red Circle Sorcery and at least one other title. And then in the early 80s, there was a Mighty Crusaders/Fly/Shield revival that went on for a year or so, that could conveniently fit in one volume I think.
