A very strange aspect of Lee's testimony was his insistence that he always paid artists for rejected pages. This comment by Lee was contradicted by every other witness who gave testimony.
It might be chalked up to Lee's supposed "poor memory" but the deposition transcript shows that Lee gave the testimony about paying for rejected work during a brief redirect by James Quinn after the deposition had appeared to be finished.
Quinn brought Lee back specifically to address the payment for rejected pages issue.
