And as I was challenged about Ditko - you know this based on what specific evidence? And is this the same legal recommendation given to other studios when they used the "Based on a novel by" credit?

[BTW - I am truly sorry that I don't have alot of what I've read by and about Steve Ditko close at hand as I have been reading things by & about him from the days he contributed quite freely to fanzines back in the 1960s, nor do I want to spend a lot of time prowling through long boxes to find them. Nonetheless, I still say that based on what I have read and seen of Ditko's viewpoints, I stand by my original statement - with "being vocal" a metaphor for anything Ditko has stated both as a writer (not literal vocalization, but something identical to it) or actually vocalized when talking to someone else who then reported what Ditko said. You may, if you like, determine that I am not a credible source. It won't hurt my feelings.]
