I recently bought something that I think might be called a computer tray.  It's similar to a TV dinner tray or breakfast-in-bed tray, but it's for a computer.  The legs are short (adjustable at roughly 8-10").  It also has a tilt up ledge (adjustable height) with a ledge at the bottom to keep the laptop or book from sliding into one's lap.  I like to read in my recliner (La-Z-Boy).  I tried it out yesterday with Vol. #1 of the Complete Calvin & Hobbes (7lbs. each volume for a total of 21+ lbs)!  It works great for Omniboo, too!  The book is angled on the table and I don't have to do anything but read and turn pages!  One of the best practical (low tech, low money) investments I've ever purchased.  I used to read my Omniboo with a big pillow in my lap, but my wrists got tired from holding them up.  (One volume at a time, of course!)  Wink

Addendum: I'm not sure my cats like it though, as they can't curl up in my lap while I'm reading!   Smile

Hmmmm. This is good to hear. I've thought about purchasing one of those both for my laptop and omni reading purposes. Glad to read an endorsement, especially stating that the device will bear the weight of the heavy tomes folks such as us like to peruse!.

What make or model is your "computer tray", Sentry? And what was the price point, if you don't mind?
