Concerning my original post, and what ignited my interest in starting this thread....since no one has mentioned it: Was anyone else a fan of OMAHA THE CAT DANCER when it was coming out (or since discovered it)? I think it's a wonderfully written and drawn comic that transcends it's genre...that being a "furry sex comic". In the 90's there was a plethora of "furry" comics put out by Antartica, MU and others...some really bland and awful comics (although MU had a lot of quality product). OMAHA was/is one of the great comics of the 80's/90's.

I'm definitely a huge fan of OMAHA THE CAT DANCER, but I'm one of those who arrived late to the party.
The first time I even heard of this book was back in 92 (or thereabouts) when Gaiman started talking about the IMAGES OF OMAHA benefit book. (I bought the one with Cerebus on the cover, and then the first one). Afterwards, I started searching high and low for the COLLECTED OMAHA volumes from Kitchen Sink (the original floppies like BIZARRE SEX and DOPE COMIX being nigh impossible to find back then)
I was delighted when NBM started a comprehensive reprint of all the Omaha tales!
I've never pimped these books here because I just assumed the dinosaurs would faint and get spooked if I started recommending stories from comic books called BIZARRE SEX and/or DOPE COMIX
