I'm really surprised X-Men 1st Class has done as well as it did, let alone get the positive reviews it did.

1. It was boring.

2. The cast: Who was in it? Seriously. Who? Outside of Kevin Bacon, can anyone think of 2 or more movies anyone in the cast was in?

3. Acting: While McAvoy, Fassbender and Kevin Bacon were all excellent, everyone else was bland. Jennifer Lawrence (the most attractive woman in the cast) was hidden under makeup the entire time, and January Jones has the talent of a wooden plank. Which just made everyone completely forgettable.

The only name in Green Lantern that was any good was Ryan Reynolds ... the other "names" such as Blake Lively, Angela Bassett, and Tim Robbins really didn't add much at all and were much more forgettable than the cast of First Class IMO.  Acting-wise, was Blake Lively really any better than January Jones?  I'd say no and we're talking the female lead vs. a supporting character.

You prefer Mystique in her "human" form over her true mutant blue self?  You're no better than Xavier or McCoy!  :>

I'd like to see in hardcover:
Avengers By Perez/Byrne (181-202)
Alpha Flight by John Byrne Omnibus
Excalibur by Claremont/Davis Omnibus Vol. 1

Shazam by Don Newton
