Two were hits but one was a disappointment. Yep, based on that, people are sick of super-hero movies and Hollywood isn't going to make anymore.
Actually, all three have under-performed, and none of them will rank in the top 5 (and possibly the top 10) of the summer films when all is said-and-done.  The studios keep hoping for another IRON MAN, but so far that seems to be more of an anomaly then a standard as only a couple of A-list franchises can reliably pack the theaters.  There will always be BATMAN and SPIDER-MAN films -- the question is whether the studios will continue to invest in too many more big budget films for the B and C-listers, and this summer hasn't helped any so far.
