I caught this this afternoon and I'm of a mixed mind on it. Firstly, the theater was completely full, so I liked that. It seems that GL is looking at about a $58M weekend, which while not Thor good, is pretty good. I hope that it can keep going as I always like to see a comic movie do well, plus I think that if there is a GL sequel, it can be much better than the first one.

Now to my review. Overall, I thought it had some good points and some 'meh' points, but nothing really horrible. The good was all the stuff on Oa. I liked Tomar-Re, Kilowog and Sinestro and I'll agree that the whole training sequence could have been extended with no problems. In the first 15-20 minutes, I was wondering if the movie hadn't been seriously miscast, but as things went along, I felt that the actors started to solidify things. I didn't buy Blake Lively as a pilot though.

It also seemed that the ending was a bit....lacking. There's this universe destroying entity coming, and it only takes a few minutes to beat him?! I hope that there is a Directors's Cut looming.
