I had no problem at all with the acting!

I have the impression that most movie reviewers (most don't deserve the title "critic") are frustrated writers who want every movie to be made their way, as if movie theaters should be like Burger King.

When 600 new movies come out every year, do reviewers really expect all of them to appeal to everyone? Or even themselves, most of the time?
I mean, I absolutely loved movies like Where the Wild Things Are, Observe and Report, Black Dynamite, The Lovely Bones, Blindness, Speed Racer, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, The Mist, Grindhouse, Trick 'r Treat, and Nacho Libre... None of these were box-office "hits."
That just tells me that Hollywood can't market anything that's not a franchise or remake or formula film. And reviewers don't know a damn thing about pop art. And that most people don't appreciate awesomeness.

(At this point, I won't even bother reading most reviews unless they come from Drew McWeeny at Hitfix or Ain't It Cool.)

I'm thrilled that Warners took a chance and made GREEN LANTERN so charmingly old-school. If reviewers can't relax and enjoy the fun, that's their problem!
