Very nice! I like your approach -- keep it simple and buy quality. I am going to do the same thing come July 1 (I only get paid once a month, so that's when I can make bulk purchases). I am leaning towards a dollar amount, though -- the JMS Thor (and the other two Thors), as well as some of those X-Men collections are definitely on my wantlist.

Tell me about that Valhalla book. . .

Yes, buy less and buy (to me) quality is the goal.

About the Valhalla Book, probably the best comic to come out of Denmark, created by Peter Madsen:
The 13 comic books (big size as you probably know from Lucky Luke, Tintin albums etc.) was created from 1979 until 2009. The comic has been release in 11 different languages and volume one sold over 100.000 copies in Denmark alone.
The comic is about telling the tales of the North Gods, but with a more human twist. The series mostly follows Thor and his family, but also a couple of human kids.
An animated movie was in danish cinema in 1986 and was a big succes in Denmark.

The book that I bought is volume one from the super ultra deluxe series, collecting 3 comic albums in each book with tons of extra material. All five volumes was released during 2010.

A picture of the back and one from the pages...
