I agree with Sentry.
GODLAND's first year was better than the second one.
The art may be an intentional riff on Kirby, but like Sentry mentioned the stories try to ape Starlin's "Cosmic Sagas" of the 70s...
Or at least they try to. Say what you will about Starlin, he usually had (more or less) the endings to his stories in his head. Here, you can see (after a couple of years) that Casey is just making up a lot of stuff on the spot, jumping from one thing to the next, and never really arriving anywhere. Now, this ISN'T necessarily a bad thing. Moebius did this for years on his AIRTIGHT GARAGE (this was intentional, of course, as it was supposed to be an experience akin to a dream), but even he eventually joined all the threads together.
As such, the book (which tries to feel like Kirby sense of wonder circa mid-1960s) actually makes me think of late Bronze Age Kirby, that is, a bunch of cool ideas tossed scattershot all over the place and not particularly focused.
BTW, did I mention Sentry has several letters printed on this book?

(Oh, and to answer the original question, the last issue I bought was #33, so I'm even worse off)
