I first started paying attention to music when I realized that it changed the mood of the picture it accompanied. I asked myself why flute sounds usually accompanied birds and big horns usually accompanied slower, cumbersome objects. I tried to understand what intrinsically made these elements bond besides the relative sizes of the objects and the musical instruments. I kept trying to make short movies and they were all bad, then one day I got the idea to use a piece of music and edit the movie to the texture changes in it, and the next thing you know, I'm a real filmmaker. So to me, music is integral to my past, enjoyable in my present, and definitely a part of my future.
