Mile High Comics sells the Whitman 3-packs of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (#1-3 and #5-7) and STAR WARS (#1-3 and #4-6).
(Possibly others, but their search function's been jacked up for several days)

I read elsewhere that SHOGUN WARRIORS #1-3 were sold together in a 3-pack, but I can't confirm this.

I've also read that some of the diamond covers were test-marketed to Direct Market stores in the '70s, but I can't confirm this, either.

FYI, Marvel also printed some price variants (some with "burst" designs similar to the "Still only 35 cents" design) for the U.S. and U.K. markets. (For example, there's a British price variant of SHOGUN WARRIORS #7).

Plus, several MARVEL TREASURY comics had Whitman and British variants!

This thread has a scan of a CBG article that gives a bit more info:
http://boards.collectors-...mber=770671&fpart=12

The article verifies that these were not reprints (except some STAR WARS), but variants printed at the same time as the regular editions - and also explains the gaps in runs without a Whitman variant (the massive success of the many STAR WARS reprints).

I'd hope that someone, somewhere has a complete list of variants by now, but I've never seen one.
The Mile High Comics site also has actual scans of each cover, if you're looking for other variants, too.

Hope this helps!
