Have to say, whereas I have no problem in general with new coloring on archival material, I really didn't care all that much for the Tales of Asgard collection because I really didn't think they did that good a job with it.

But this book is really well done. Of course what would one expect from Steve Oliff and his talented crew? It is still very much in the style and range of the original, but also looks entirely fresh and up-to-date. It helps that the line-art reproduction itself is excellent to make such a strong base of glistening black. Walt's run is a great work of story and art that has now received the treatment it richly deserves.

Everyone who is iffy on this sort of revisionist presentation should at least give it a look.
