And yet, your request that everyone avoid spoiling you by not discussing the actual *details* of the plot in question somewhat hampers an open discussion...

"I only read things that I already know I'll like" seems kind of like a closed loop. I get that money's tight, but why not challenge yourself once in a while? I think enough people have said "there are mitigating circumstances that we can't explain without spoiling it all, and the plot wasn't described 100% accurately on Byrne's board" that you won't feel horribly ill-at-ease with this book.
