I don't think you actually -understand- the cumulative effect; they may have expected to lose a certain amount, but if they lose -more- than the certain amount, they simply don't run -other coupon sales they may have done in the future. People who abuse coupons essentially -ruin- it for other people down the road, as well as the stores themselves, because other coupon discounts might not be presented to other customers because some people did MORE than their fair share of coupon use.

I really don't understand defending something that -costs- money to both stores and to consumers down the road.

I leave it for the others to defend their positions about hoarding; but MY primary objection is the methods by how he got them.
