Come on, some sell things that are still sealed....but I would say yes more here do as you stated.

OK, you have jabbed me repeatedly, let's do this...

The books that I sell on eBay often belong to Ferjo Byroy (a guy who buys/owns a helluva lot more books than you but doesn't brag 1/1000 that you do). Ferjo suffers from upgrade-itis. It is a rare affliction that causes the victim to be unable to enjoy a book, like say, a PHC knowing that there is a superior, sewn-binding Omnibus version out there. Or an Omnibus of Masterworked material. Ferjo buys tons of books, and doesn't open anything until he reads it. I guesstimate his backlog at 500 books...not kidding or exaggerating in the slightest. His income/acquisition ratio far outstrips his free time to read these books. He still has to upgrade, for fear that something will fall out of print. When he does, I sell his books on eBay for him (with a modest slice off the top for myself), often times still sealed. Ferjo doesn't buy multiples, and 99.9% of the time doesn't buy something with the intention of flipping it. He did find both Absolute Authoritys in a LCS, and bought them knowing they were out of print. Read Vol. 1, didn't care about Vol. 2, got rid of it sealed. I have personally bought one book to flip, a copy of MM X-Men v4, around 5 years ago when it was out of print. I threw it up on eBay with a buy it now, tripled my money, and bought more books. I don't do it now, and if I did, I wouldn't be dumb enough to brag about openly on the board where your potential buyer(s) hang out. So we are nothing alike, dude. Poke and prod at your own risk.
