I can live with that. I don't mind losing letters pages. To a lesser extent I don't mind losing pin-ups or covers either (although it sounds like that won't be an issue with this collection). Only thing that bugs me is losing story pages. That was more an issue with older TPBs that cut pages dealing with ongoing sub-plots, and not necessarily germane to the crossover story or main plot of the collection. Cutting main story pages & back-ups absolutely drives me nuts though. A minor quibble is the elimination of editorial notes (eg "*see issue #337 -ed."). Their exclusion will never keep me from buying a trade, but I've never understood why they're removed. Half the time, the boxes they occupied are still present on the page (just empty)!
