For anyone not up on this, I want to point out how the "serious" strips in Comedy Comics were a continuation (in fact or in spirit) of strips that ran in Daring Mystery Comics:

The Fin appeared in Daring Mystery Comics #7-8 and Comedy Comics #9
Citizen V appeared in both Daring Mystery Comics #8 and Comedy Comic's #9
The Silver Scorpion appeared in Daring Mystery Comics #7-8 and Comedy Comics #9
Captain Dash in Comedy Comics #9 was really a continuation of Captain Daring from Daring Mystery Comics #7-8
Li’l Professor and Rudy the Robot appeared in both Daring Mystery Comics #8 and Comedy Comics #9

also:
Fourth Musketeer (from Comedy Comics #10) may continue as the Blue Blade in U.S.A. Comics #5)
Victory Boys (from Comedy Comics #10) also appear in U.S.A. Comics #5
The Vagabond appeared in U.S.A. Comics #2-#3-#4 and Young Allies Comics #4 before appearing in Comedy Comics #11

other new serious strips that appeared were:
Monstro the Mighty in Comedy Comics #10
Kid Columbus In Comedy Comics #10
Snigger in Comedy Comics #11

And while Stuporman was a humorous strip, it first appeared in Daring Mystery Comics #6 before appearing in Joker #1 and Comedy Comics #11

These strips combined with Daring Comics #9-12 would make a really nice Masterwork.
