I love Kane's artwork on these All Star Western stories (more so the Infantino penciled/inked Super Chief). Glad to see none of Kane's "head tilted backward w/flaring nostrils art"- guess that came much later (early 70's). Actually, when did he start to use that "look" in his art? I just seem to remember a bunch of Marvel covers with that particular head-shot.

Osgood- its kind of funny how the first year of comic buying left a burning image in my young mind. Guess that's why 51 years later I still come to the Boards (& I love these Time Capsule's). Finally getting to a point in my life that I am getting rid of most of my 1960/61 books, just keeping those oddball issues (& there are many) not yet Archived. It was a little sad to let an older Strange Adventure that I picked up as a back issue (issue #79 with the invading snowmen on the cover with corn-cob pipes and top hats and rays shooting out of their coal eyes- gotta love it)- but, I looked at the CGC 'd book (4.5- went for $159.00 on Comiclink three weeks ago- I knew it was a hard to find issue that I purchased for $30 some years ago (not in CGC holder), but gee....) and just thought "Neat issue, but it doesn't hold a memory for me". Ah, but that's another story and I don't want to hijack this thread (that I so much appreciate). When you post these, I check in every day.
