For the second Hawkman try-out in Brave and the Bold #35, Editor Julie Schwartz let artist Kubert do the talking this time, and Joe gave some nice background on how he got into comics and first drew Hawkman back in the 40s. He also gave the floor to a select group of prominent fans who had been given a sneak preview of the first story, including Jerry Bails and Roy Thomas. So what was Roy the Boy's biggest complaint about the new Winged Wonder? You guessed it - the design of Hawkman's mask!:
