Meh. This doesn't belong on this thread, exactly, but I discovered this because of the thread, and I think the posters here will appreciate it.

FACT: We all know that Super-Monkey's name is Beppo. "Beppo, the Super-Monkey." You know it, and I know it.

But we're all wrong.

Recently I was digging through my Superboy comics looking for an issue featured in the Time Capsule. I came across the first appearance of Super-Monkey in Superboy #76, Oct. 1959. AS I read it, I came across this:

Super-Monkey had no name in this story - Beppo was an organ grinder's monkey!

Did some writer get confused and start calling Super-Monkey "Beppo"?

This rivals the mix-up between the Golden Age, red-headed Lex Luthor and his bald henchman by a later artist!
