Well, not my thing but they're good at what they do I'm really surprised these European female-fronted bands haven't broken through yet in the U.S. because there's nothing Evanescence is doing that bands like Within Temptation, Nightwish, or Lacuna Coil aren't doing better.

It's funny, I just started listening to WT this past weekend.  The selling point for me is Sharon's voice.  I'm still more of a prog rock enthusiast than a metal-head.  So I don't anticipate becoming an avid fan of WT like I am of RUSH, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Queen and YES.  Now, the production quality on the audio/video of Faster is fantastic.  But on the whole, I don't know if enjoy all of WT's music as much as the new single.  Note: Sharon's vocals on "Ice Queen" (live) are so high, I have to read the lyrics to see what she's singing about.  I've always enjoyed listening to operatic singers of either gender, as long as I can understand what they're singing about.  Wink

My name is Oedi and I soar amidst the stars far from the planet of my birth. I guess this starship is the closest thing I've got to a home now, for I am a refugee and an outlaw. Vanth Dreadstar, Syzygy Darklock, Willow 327, Rainbow and Skeevo are my family. We are revolutionaries. Our goal? To bring an end to the 200 year old war between the Instrumentality and the Monarchy!
