I dunno; DC does try from time to time. I mean, they just put out a Ragman one-shot, and that's sayin' something, because they almost never pay attention to characters like that. If they did bring back pulp/genre stuff like the Viking Prince and so on, it would probably work better for them, because those characters don't have 40 years of bad continuity baggage going in. Sometimes they bring back Adam Strange or Anthro...nothing seems to stick around though. In the 90s also, there were a lot of short-lived characters who weren't really super-heroes. Again, nothing seemed to stick. All in all, however, I'd say DC beats Marvel hands down in terms of diversity in the line. All Marvel seems to manage is Avengers, Spider-Man and X-Men tie-ins.
