I feel for DC who's got nothing outside of superheroes.
DC has/had:
pirates:  can't recall any pirate comics offhand
space marines:  Atari Force, Human Defense Corps, you could even argue Green Lantern Corps/Darkstars are more or less space marines
sword & sorcery:  Northlanders, Warlord, Arak, Claw the Unconquered, Camelot 3000, they even had a title called Sword & Sorcery
fantasy:  Arion the Immortal, Amethyst, Fables, Books of Magic, Madame Xanadu, Unwritten, Reign of the Zodiac
war:  Unknown Soldier, DMZ, Sgt. Rock, GI Combat, Star Spangled War Stories, Our Army at War, Enemy Ace, Weird War Tales, Winter Men
crime:  Gotham Central, Scene of the Crime, Scalped, Vertigo Crime line, Sleeper, Top Ten
horror:  House of Secrets/Mystery (both old and new), Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion, Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Midnight Mass, Crossing Midnight, IZombie, American Vampire
kung fu:  Richard Dragon, Karate Kid
humor:  Major Bummer, Ambush Bug, 'Mazing Man
western:  Loveless, Jonah Hex, All-Star Western, Desperadoes, Outlaw Nation
science fiction:  Helix imprint, Adam Strange, Kamandi, Fourth World, Orion, Otherworld
romance:  Young Love, Heart Throbs, Young Heroes in Love (romance/spandex mix)
religion:  Testament
politics:  Ex Machina

Aside from Vertigo, DC has launched numerous imprints throughout the years targeting different genres/readers:  Piranha/Paradox, Helix, Minx, DC Focus, Impact, Johnny DC, Milestone.

But to get back on topic, I'll be curious to see what Marvel does with Crossgen.  I didn't really start reading Crossgen until after its demise via back issues and have enjoyed most of the line.  I've had Ruse and Brath bound so far and plan to do Sojourn, Way of the Rat, The Path and Negation.
