True enough, David. It is a no-win. So, I'll shut up now and go back to my ECs.

Alas, not very many publishers back in the day were actual comic book fans. William Gaines was the exception. Because he stored virtually all of the original art, we are able to enjoy the many fine reprints of this material that have been published through the years.

But as someone who grew up when comics were rather haphazardly printed the first time - with color off-register, sometimes ink streaks smeared across pages, coloring mistakes, etc. - I tend to be a "glass half-full" kind of guy with the reprints we're getting now.
