The thing about Kick-Ass (the comic book) is that Millar starts earning a percentage from the first copy sold. It would take quite a few copies before it would make up for not getting his page rate (which has to be astronomical), but once it passes that point he's gotta be raking it in.
Has the financial arrangements of Icon ever been publicized though?  Are they like Image where they take a standard cut, subtract printing/production costs and whatever's left is given to the creative team to be divvied up?  Or are they like traditional comics (royalties) with the only (although some would say the most important) difference being that creators own the properties 100% and can profit from non-comic rights?  Or is it somewhere in-between?
