Wouldn't increasing a book past its size mean adjustments to the cost because of more paper being used?


Probably, but I doubt it would have been a significant difference. But again, you'd have to have someone at DC willing to think past the established format.

I've never had a problem with the size that Golden Age material is usually reproduced at (by both Marvel and DC), though the margins required to accomodate the different page proportions have always struck me as a bit odd.


I get the impression paper isn't a huge portion of the price of books. I bet the gas it takes to move an Omnibus from point A to B is more than the paper.


I think the price difference between an Archive and a similarly-produced product in a different format should demonstrate that this isn't so!
