My only real complaint here is the same one I have for most books 7" x 10" (roughly) that reprint Golden Age material: The ratio of the size of the page to the size of the art...tight margins on the sides; wide margins at top & bottom. It causes 2 problems for me: 1) The art gets sucked so tight in the gutter that you sometimes have to really pull it apart to read it comfortably; and 2) The art is reproduced smaller than the size at which it was originally printed, making some panels laborious to read. It's not a deal breaker, and I understand the economics of printing and press trim outs and all those production costs (ie: the cost for making the book just 1/2" wider would be considerable, just considering paper costs alone). But, it probably keeps me from enjoying the read as much as I might, and it surely keeps me from re-reading often, just because it's such a pain. It definitely makes me very selective about which Golden Age volumes I want to actually purchase.

Even though many griped about the large ("coffee table") size of the Titan S&K Library volume that recently came out, I much prefer the larger page size, just because of the ratio. But, I'd rather have 'em this way than not at all. No way could I ever afford the originals!

Scans/reconstruction overall are much better this time around than Sandman, though, and that is a definite plus.
