Spot on kinggirlfriend--Blind Justice is a buried gem, with some great tense Denys Cowan artwork.

Some of your suggestions are of course Legends of the Dark Knight storylines--I know collections are all the rage but if one spends any time bargain bin diving, you can find bits and pieces of LOTDK pretty easily in dollar bins and even quarter bins. There are some really good, really interesting little stories throughout that title, as well as appearances by some pretty big talents--Warren Ellis, James Robinson, Howard Chaykin (illustrated by Gil Kane!), and the like. Good cheap way to find good cheap bat-stories.

Another good way--Batman Chronicles. Short-lived anthology title from the late nineties/early aughts? Can be spotty but you do get stuff like Paul Pope's first take on the character (as a vigilante in pre-Nazi Berlin) and Bendis' (to date) ONLY take on the character. Always worth a look especially for a buck or a quarter.
