Same. I think that's (to me) the most compelling way to write them that I've come across.


I can agree with that to a point, but Magneto did commit terrorist acts and mass murders. Xavier has never crossed that threshold. Therein lies a huge difference, Magneto will forever be tainted (or haunted) by that fact. It heightens the compelling differences between the two and how they view their "cause". Magneto is a very compelling villain in much the same way when Doom is portrayed at his best. They believe they are just. I always hated the name "The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants". I like the fact Magneto thinks of himself as rightous as that serves to add depth to the character.
