with the (very significant) caveat that I'm not all that interested in "treading water" stories that just preserve status quo. Give me stories that dare to change things and I'm all over the above properties. Have Michael Knight lose an eye. Get MacGyver married. Blow up Crockett's boat. Show us Picard leaving the Enterprise behind, or introduce us to Samwise and Rosie Cotton's kids. Have Prince Adam take over as King of Eternia. And you've got my money. But if you're just going to waste my time playing nice with the corporations, not pushing the license, and producing harmless inoffensive pap then leave me out of it.
You must not read very many DC or Marvel books since isn't that what most of these corporate franchises are doing-- just treading water (Batman or Captain America may "die" and be replaced but the status quo eventually always reverts)?  Given the way Conde Nast canceled The Shadow during Helfer's run because of the way he DIDN'T preserve the status quo, it's unlikely that most licensors are going to allow their properties to be irrevocably changed.
