What about the Hercules Unbound/Atomic Knights volume that's coming out? That's from the 70s. Is it comparable in style to Bronze Age Marvel, or is it more of a Silver Age DC sensibility?

Doc, you will find this very much a mixture. The Atomic Knights were a late-fifties DC series that had no continuity link to the rest of the Dc Universe whatsoever; the handful of stories (less than 20, IIRC) will be included in the Showcase more or less as "background material".

The Hercules Unbound series began in the early- to mid-70s as primarily a combination between the SF of Kamandi and the sword-and-sorcery of Claw The Unconquered, with a little Thor thrown in for good measure. It wasn't till about halfway through the series that it was tied to the Atomic Knights storyline.

However, since the Great Disaster has since been shown to have been tied in to numerous DC series, I would consider it a pretty durned good investment.
