A myth for sure. There was no way DC was going to cancel Batman. He had already been optioned for television. That was just a story that Liebowitz told Kane because Kane didn't want to let Infantino draw the book. DC espcially would never have cancelled Batman, because the rights would have reverted to Kane and he could have taken it elsewhere. (I guess Kane's 60's lawyer wasn't as smart as his 40's lawyer)
