See, when I think "Adventure", I still think of the magazine I read when I was 6 or 7 back in the early sixties.

First, it was the comic with a Superboy story in the front, then with a Bizarro story in the back. Me loved me them Bizarros!

Then, the Legion Of Super-Heroes replaced Bizarro. I sort of liked the feature, especially the dumb aspects like the Substitute Heroes (Stone Boy, anyone? Talk about a useless power...), but I really didn't notice when Superboy got squeezed out of his own book, I had dropped Adventure by that point.

I was a Marvel Zombie by 1968 and didn't notice when the Legion switched places with Supergirl between Adventure and Action. The next time I noticed Adventure Comics was in the late seventies when I found some weird back issues with The Spectre in them.

When I went back in 1981-82 and tried obsessively filling in old runs of every title this side of The Mighty Crusaders, I noticed just how fungible the lineups in Adventure had been over the years: Supergirl, Black Orchid, Spectre, then it went to the dollar comic format, then it went to the Plas/Starman double feature emulating Marvel's old TOS/TTA formula. and although I accumulated most of those issues, for the life of me I can't recall the plotlines to a single one.
