Well, how about a two volume set in a slipcase?
The Marvel Supreme Editions: the greatest hardcover series that never was!
Is that vain hope, or was there ever a suggestion..? (Or other-publisher offering, etc...) I know there's a two-(normal sized)volume Captain America, are there others?  )

ntnon - Based on your post count I see that you're fairly new to the Boards...? If so, you may not be aware that there have been several folks around these parts who have been clamoring for a Simonson Thor Omnibus for years. I don't recall who in particular, but a couple of them have been very vocal about it. You may or may not be aware that the Simonson Thor Omnibus was far and away voted the most requested Omnibus in the last two Masterworks Surveys.

A slipcased set is vain hope as far as I know. I suggested a two-volume slipcased set years ago, along with the "Marvel Supreme Editions" label. Modern masterpieces like Walt's Thor, Miller's DD, Byrne's FF - that sorta stuff was tailor made for a special line of "super deluxe slipcase hard covers." This was back before the first Omnibus volume.

As far as the letter pages, IMO, they are far more important than some of those suggested extras.

If we get this most beloved run as an Omnibus, I bet we see it as a done-in-one volume as opposed to two volumes. I just got up to look at the five tpb's on my shelf... I don't know if this means much, but aligned together they are smaller than several of my other large books, including a LOTR edition right above them.
