I was lucky enough to see the first post of this thread before it vanished, so I'm more stoked than ever about this. The truth is I haven't read this run, but I'm a huge Simonson fan from reading most of his other stuff, and I have resisted the temptation to buy the Visionaries books knowing that a beautiful definitive omnibus edition would arrive sooner or later.

INSERT VERY LENGTHY LIST HERE.

Anyway, I've been researching the possible contents of the Omnibus, and I submit the results to your consideration. Any correction, addition, improvement or comment is welcome.

Total: 1182 pages. 10 less pages than Ennis' Punisher, but I'm sure they'll still surprise us with more unearthed sketches or other material to fill a few more pages.

Jeez Louise (n. Simonson, btw). That's quite the list indeed.

Off the top o' me head:

The 2-page pin-up from Balder the Brave was reprinted in the Balder MCP hard cover.
The 2-page wraparound cover to The Ballad of Beta Ray Bill is a must.
What's the Thor pin-up by Simonson from Marvel Age #10? Is it the Thor sketch used in the Deluxe OHOTMU? If so, it's in the Balder MCP.
The pin-up from Marvel Fanfare #45 is the Thor in Battle Armor vs Jormundgand, right? That's a good one.
I remember those Portraits of a Universe paintings. One was Thor vs BRB, and one was Thor vs Jormundgand inspired by Thor 380. Those would be nice, but not "must haves" for me.
Those blank panels from #341 and the paste-in panels from the next issue's letters page maybe should be left as-is. There was another "similar" incident in that a military unit was mistakenly called something else in one of Walt's Thor issues; a subsequent issue had the proper panels in the letters page, similar to the Secret Wars panels.
If space is an issue, I'd refrain from including the cover to Thor Annual #7, as well as that Captain Marvel cover. The cover to Thor Annual #13 is nice. I'd like that one included; nice Thor vs Ulik the Troll image, with the vile Mephisto in the background. Funny how that Annual didn't have anything to do with the main title, seeing as it came out during the Simonson saga.
I'd also nix "Volstagg's Mostly Greatest Adventure" and the Loki story from Avengers 300. Save them for something else, perhaps.
The splash from X-Factor is quite cool.
Then there are a few other things to add: the "New? Improved? What have they done to The Mighty Thor?" issue 337 BRB promo poster, and the "Oh no! What have they done to Thor now?!" Frog poster. Those are great.
Also, the telephone sequence featuring Loki and Lorelei written and drawn by Simonson for an Assistant Editor's Month event, as well as an amazing 2-page poster from Marvel Age featuring Thor and his Asgardian allies against the Giants - both of those would be great.
