Thanks and great answer. I'd same 95% of the material I've seen and read (and I've seen a lot) just focus on the emotional side of the industrialized execution of 11 million. Maus, Schindler's List, The Big Red 1, the horrifying UK government film from the time (search Hitchcock holocaust). Frankly all you get from this is the Nazis were bad, the Germans were complacent and WWII needed to be fought.

The only time I ever hear your excellent point brought up is by gun rights advocates who talk about Hitler taking all the guns. Or, more importantly, as justification for UN (or unilateral) peace keeping/invasion/occupation.
