He really seemed to love those western covers. But they were all good. I tend to like some of the Colletta inked covers less than the others, but mostly it was really hard to make Kane look less than excellent. My favorites are probably the ones he did the inking on himself, followed by the Everett or Reese inked covers. And I forgot how well Ernie Chan made him look too.

How I would love to see something like a Gil Kane Covers omnibus. Everybody needs a dream...Maybe DD #81 could be the cover of such an omnibus. But really, how do you choose what goes on the cover of something like that?
