I tend to agree with others about pulling the character out of WW2 is rather silly.

Sgt. Rock is going to have little if anything in a fanbase attending a movie about him vs. the general public who will see it thinking it's just another fictional war movie.

That said, does the general public need another WW2 movie now? What could Sgt. Rock possibly bring to the big screen that hasn't been done a million times before in film?

The current generation has only a passing interest in WW2 these days and even less interest in something like Sgt. Rock.


I like the old Kubert Rock comics but I don't think this film should be made at all.
