My favorite version of Superman was post-Crisis era, with John Byrne's revamp. This was when I started reading the Superman titles, although I didn't start getting into them until after Byrne had left (although I'd collect the back issues of Byrne's stints on Superman and Action later on), when folks like Jerry Ordway (the only creative team member holdover left from the 1986 revamp), Roger Stern, Kerry Gammill, George Perez, were the creative teams around the time I got into reading them cicra 1988-1989, 1990 period. I stayed on the Superman titles until mid-1994, and left as I thought the cover prices were going up too much (compared to today's prices, the 1990s were cheaper). I'd come back numerous times over the years (1995-1996, 1999-2000) but came back regularly once again in 2003.

I like the Silver Age era of Superman as well from reading off the various collection TPBs or hardcovers that cover this period. And I like the Golden Age era as well, from reading through the DC Archives. Siegel & Shuster really set the foundation for everything with the Man of Steel's beginnings. I guess I like the various eras of Superman, from what I have read.
