But the problem is that the pairing of Strange Worlds 1-5 with World of Fantasy 1-7 is chronologically and stylistically inapt.

SW 1-5 and WoF 15-19 are perfect mirrors; they shared a synchronous bi-monthly schedule.

Except for WoF #15, which was a transition issue, they contained content comparable with the other pre-hero Marvel books.

Let's take a look at the post-code fantasy titles.

These were the pre-code horror/fantasy books that made the adjustment to the post-code era:

Marvel Tales
Mystic
Mystery Tales
Journey Into Mystery
Uncanny Tales
Strange Tales
Astonishing
Journey Into Unknown Worlds

Then there were the books that were launched in the post-code era. I'm including Spellbound, which was a pre-code title which had been on a long hiatus.

Spellbound
Strange Stories of Suspense
Strange Tales of the Unusual
World of Suspense
Adventures Into Mystery
World of Fantasy
World of Mystery
Mystical Tales

The content of all these books is essentially interchangeable. This INCLUDES the contents of World of Fantasy 1-14 (or even 15).

With the caveat that the earlier post-code material is generally more compelling than the later stuff.

So, piggybacking early World of Fantasy onto Kirby/Ditko pre-hero material makes little more sense than tacking on late Mystery Tales or Astonishing would.
