That's what thrills me about it. He's not a hero by any definition. He's just a main character, a protagonist. He's evil. The omniscient narrator even says so. It's so wonderful to have a feature in an anthology comic where the main character is an evil villian and there's no superhero to stop him. I wish I could think of what genre it would be, but it's such a breath of fresh air compared to everything else we've read in either Marathon. In some respects it's thematically closer to "realism" than any of the superhero features because in "Sub-Mariner", evil power wins out, just like it has for the majority of the history of the real world.

I especially like pages 6 and 10-12 in the second issue.
