Why would you be shocked?

The book isn't as solicited. That, under Diamond's TOS, makes it returnable by definition.

I doubt Diamond or IDW will trumpet it, but any retailer who presses the issue *at all* should get satisfaction.

And if you bought this book and are unhappy with it, take it back, tell them why, and make your retailer either eat the cost or flex their muscles with Diamond.

If consumers tolerate this sort of ineptitude on the part of publishers, it will only get worse and become more frequent.
