Nut (I can call you Nut, right?), we agree that DH has really fumbled the ball when it comes to reprints of the Marvel Robert E. Howard material but to give them their due, Dark Horse seems to be lavishing all their Howard love on new adaptations.
Certainly the new Conan series at DH - despite some serious padding issues - has been miles better than anything Marvel produced since Roy Thomas initially abandoned the franchise.

I doubt modern-day Marvel could've produced such high quality new Howard material as DH.
Can you imagine Brian Bendis scripting anything by Howard?
Crom forbid!

Conan: "By Crom, y'know, I just - I just - wanna, like, well, y'know just wench and pillage. Yeah, yeah I said "wench and pillage". No, no, I really mean "wench and pillage" when I say "wench and pillage". It's kinda like what, what - heck this is embarassing - what we Cimmerians do, y'know."

Wench: "That is just so not happening today Mr. Barbarian guy. Just sooo not happening. Noooo, no way Jose, nyet, nosireebob. Capiche cimmerian? Ya wanna go "wenching and pillaging" ya find yerself another bar, where they go infer that kinda $h#t. These b**bs leak at a glance never mind with broadswords waving around!"

Conan: "I was like so afraid you might - like - take the "wenching and pillaging" thing the wrong way."
