Well, in a way that is kind-of what DeFalco has done with Spider-Girl (And thank the Goddess he has, as well!)

Regarding the X-Men, though. I'd like to ask why X-Men Forever is acceptable and X-Men: Hidden Years was not? Didn't Joe Q cancel the latter because he didn't want an out of current continuity X-book?
Someone beat me to it, but yeah, Hidden Years was diufferent because it was set in the "real" continuity, just in the past during a time when the X-Men wasn't being published. Forever is basically a giant series of What If? I feel the same way about Spidey, I love the Untold Tales, but alt-timeline stuff like MAry Jane Loves Peter bothers me somehow. But that's just my opinion.

That's not to say I dislike the idea of Marvel having a multiverse, btw, because the Exiles series was actually quite good when Judd was writing it because they had fun with the idea of Earth-616, etc.. Not to get too far off the point of this thread.

Why can't they just let her have her imaginary babies and her robot husband? Look what happens when she doesn't!
